The 31st conference of the Stress and Anxiety Research Society (STAR) took place in Galway, Ireland, from 4 to 6 August, 2010. The conference was hosted by the Centre for Research on Occupational and Life Stress (CROLS) at the National University of Ireland, Galway.

With its focus on processes relating to stress, anxiety, depression, coping, conflict, social cohesion, mental health, ergonomics, psychosomatics, therapeutics, education, and psychophysiology, STAR 2010 provided a unique opportunity for behavioral, social, and health scientists from right across the world.

The Annual Conference of STAR (the Stress and Anxiety Research Society) is one of the most prestigious world conferences focusing on research into stress, anxiety, and related phenomena.
